Don’t like it…paint it! I’m a firm believer that life is what you make it and that goes for decorating/design too! Want that expensive piece of furniture but can’t afford it? Build it! Want the fun metal kids bed but can’t find the right color for the right price? Paint it! All things can be transformed with a little creativity and a little sweat.

My son has his heart set on a built-in bunk bed situation with a slide and play area and you KNOW I’m going to make that happen but in the meantime I wanted him to have a cute bed that still went with the vibe of his room, while being budget friendly since I know it won’t be around long. We found this super affordable metal bed in white at IKEA, gave it a quick spray paint and seal and problem solved! Want to try it? Here’s what we used:

IKEA MINNEN Bed Frame
Satin Enamel Spray Paint
Rustoleum Ultra Cover Satin Clear Spray Paint

And that’s it! Probably the easiest project so far.

How to make any fall wreath just the right amount of spooky for Halloween:

1. Cut black florals into small pieces (spray painted eucalyptus is great too)
2. Stick/hot glue into wreath
3. Add bats, spiders, or small skeletons

I’m so happy to finally be back at sharing our crazy/fun projects with y’all! It’s been awhile, so I thought I’d do a little introduction for those of you who don’t know me.

My goal with this little account is to hopefully encourage and inspire you to try new things right along with me. I’ll give you all the tips and tricks I learn along the way and hopefully we can learn and create together!

I’m slowly putting away what’s left of Christmas and organizing an abundance of toys so I thought I would share a few of my favorite kid’s bedroom nooks before they’re gone.
